Occasionally in life comes a welcome surprise
Fierce determination seen in Nancy Pelosi’s eyes
Upon visiting Ukraine to support Zelensky
~ She bolstered his stock (and his smile) immensely
demon allure coaxing me near
to a place inhabited
roadside flare
with ample provisions
action follows suit
distress, undressed with motive too
rustic claw piercing
tetanus thighs
sullied my hands and bolstered a lie
absolved of blame
i return unchanged
Although I’m late, my pace is slow
The woods are dark, my path to go.
Each sound, a host of unseen brutes
That lurk amongst the tangled roots
Of trees that line my pitch-black route.
I want to scream, I want to shout
And yet a light, though faint ahead
A beacon to my waiting bed
Soon steps through welcome bolstered door
Assure me that I’m safe once more
Youth’s lofty dreams
are bolstered by
supporters: “You can
be, do, have
whatEVER you please!”
Soon, killjoy Reality
speaks up: “Look—
down here! Listen.
You can’t bring
numerous demanding
dreams to fruition.
Choose the best.
Pursue with energy,
gratefulness, and joy!”
Reality trumps encouragement.

Identified no more with form,
with spatial silence as the norm,
poised in stillness, one with the all,
we feel God’s touch, tender and warm.
No images left to recall,
our vaporised presence stands tall,
as pure awareness self-aware,
bolstered by a benign bliss squall.
This revelation which we share,
is for those souls who choose to pair,
with love and light in heart aflame;
aura of soul we always wear.

Upon the rise so translucent,
Shows another’s sculpted perfection
Traced around morning dews undulation,
Reflecting imperfections in luster,
Briefly angular and attractive,
Quickly becoming defective,
As its form goes transparent,
Delivering nature,
Gentle nourishment,
For welcoming,

In Just A Few Words 2 Poetry Contest
Sponsor: Joseph May
The Brevette, created by Emily Romano consists of a subject (noun), verb, and object (noun), in this exact order. The verb should show an ongoing action. This is done by spacing out the letters in the verb. There are only three words in the poem.
For this contest all 3 words must start with the same letter.
. 3 words only
You may think it's unique
That it's just
happened to you
at the moment
But it has all been done before
Anything that you imagine
has already taken place
It's nothing knew
It may seem
like it's a catastrophe
or that it's the greatest
thing that ever occurred
This is just an illusion
an illumination of discrepancies
fostered by time and space
bolstered by the relevancies
of disinterested specimens
that circulate through
the time portals
of everyday situations
Finding myself devastated in the middle of the run,
I built up the courage to start with the new rising sun.
With thoughts of all the encountered failure coming one by one,
Making my life look like a piece of pavement unwieldy done,
I snuggled up with a few achievements, leaving behind none
With a tint of fear,
With a skeptical attitude towards the coming year.
I was bolstered up with a lot of cheer.
The importance of treating the ends as a start dawned on my broken tears.
