Bits of what we had
Became unstrung, life then spun
Out of my control.
Then saw goodness of your soul...
Sadly cannot find them all.

iridescent beads of dew
loving the way of you today
magnified by my appreciative mind
I imagine being inside one of your glorious drops
urging the grass to shoot up

Dew wet spider web

        Sparkling pearls on fine parade

        Life's boasting beauty

blades of grass adorned in morning dew
bejewel my thoughts at break of dawn
silver beads will fall on cue
as sunlight warms this silvery spawn
my thoughts then fade when they are gone

A little optimism
A little altruism
A little care for plants,
Birds, animals and frail ants
A little friendliness with the neighbor
Who, like us, for existence labor
A little smile at the cosmos and universe
Within which each being does immerse
These, indeed, are beads that mold each creature
And unite them, eternally, with the Mother Nature…

Beads

Colored beads on a necklace,
if we change the order of the beads
the necklace might look like a snake
or a skein of yarn
maybe a bell pull or rosary.

We might see the bell
swinging, hear the slow
donging of its hollow heart,
or we might
toss the beads at a rock
watch the beads break apart
forming their own random images.

The arrangements are endless,
but the beads are just beads
the poem is what you say it is.

Mistress of Beads

She sits there in her golden gown
Weeping soft; without a sound
Body shaking, silent sobs;
Each rough hand has done its job.

Her skin is scratched her gown is torn;
Each dream she’ll wish she were not born.
Beads scattered, strewn across the floor;
Bare footed foes they’re waiting for

And they will prick who may come near
To their mistress and her dark fear,
And left unwanted in her seat
Their mistress tends her bleeding feet.

                                                            a dewy autumn morning

Friendship Beads

Red, yellow, green and blue, blue blue-
Red, yellow, green and blue
Red, yellow, green and blue, blue blue-
Red, yellow, green and blue (Chorus)

Red is for the blood Christ shed
Yellow for power He rose from the dead
Green is for new life instead
Of feeling blue, Heaven's ahead-

Red, yellow, green and blue, blue blue-
Red, yellow, green and blue
Red, yellow, green and blue, blue blue-
Red, yellow, green and blue (Chorus)

~ Life Beads ~
In my pocket small words on paper
                               Like pearls on a string
                                             *
We follow a track, an illusion
                         The gateway to the unconscious
                       Never prevent your own happiness
