For so long now, I’ve been fixated
on a dream.
A dream that I could find happiness
mirrored in someone else’s eyes,
But that dream has done nothing but haunt
my soul.
Fixated like a junkie craving for his
subconscious reality.
It steals from me what I’ll give freely,
not knowing that truth’s glass stares at me at all times.
Slowly it takes away pieces of my shattered
soul.
If only I could let go life would be
much simpler, but would it be worth living?...
