Triumph Ascendant

In victory's light, your shield flies high
With steadfast resolve, you reached for the sky
Through battles and trials, your spirit stood tall
Congrats for combating America's call

Night casts no shade upon her light,
Ascendant star endowed with midnight fire,
Shining down with radiance so bright,
Reflections cast upon the heart’s desire,
Awesome soul, such wonder to admire.

Love Fell Apart On the Same Continent

'the sun has ascendant between us,
between two pinched,
that bow to each other;
love with the sun ascendant,
has red on our orgasmic ally
stem;
we are now like a shadow, thy
set, in the same continent;
but kiss the air husbandry.

Can a Muse, words refresh
   seamlessly enmesh

While She's away
   does rhyme ever stray...

When she returns, if she returns
   will poetic pens yearn...

Will trumpets still blaze Imperially
   Inspirational visions, Ethereally

Captivating, Ascendant
   ~ Illuminating...

Moonstruck

I am waxing poetic
And hope I’m not straining
Credulity saying
My talent’s not waning.

It may be eclipsed by
Those poets ascendant
Whose words are celestial,
Deep and resplendent.

Yet tides keep on turning
And orbits expanding,
While moonbeams drift down,
Oh, so daintily landing.

The galaxy’s bursting
With work that amazes
And room for all poets
In all of their phases.

Drawn In

DRAWN IN

We are not yet one - but no longer two:
I sense your draw and feel the pull of you -
And know I need look no further.
Orbiting closer, worlds around each other,
Like planetessimals - no longer wanderers bright
But, charted by parallel invisible light,
Linked together tight, swirling in space,
Forever locked in heaven’s embrace.
Our star is visible to all, and ascendant:
A twin-point merging resplendent.

For a Time

I dreamed for a time,
as I walked with you,
that I was an ascendant being.
Now that you have left me,
am I doomed to wake?

Either

you were a guide to my lost soul,
leading me from the sewer and swamp,
reminding a confused heart
that I too could glow.

Or

you rained light down upon me,
such that I confused
immersion
with
absorption,
radiant warmth for internal glow.

So

wait a moment, dear, while
I catch up, deferring
the question, while
I bask in you.

Now that you have left me,
