Armor Studded

Entrenched behind
his verbiage
Each word
becomes a shield

Armor studded
hard to pierce
In phrases
— not to yield

I wish
I wish I could tear down that armoured wall that you've built,
so I can try to repair,
the gaping hole in your heart.

Putting On the Armor of God

Temptations are the handiwork of
the devil to trap and destroy
the men in this sinful world.
He who possesses faith
won't fall to any
of the devil's
tricks or lies
for he's
firm.

Always there standing with me
driving to unlock my door
fixing me tea when I'm sick
starting my car when it won't
making me smile when I'm sad
always he knows what to do
my knight in shining armor

Emotional Armor

There she stands in her armor plating,
Emotionally distant, her eyes are hating
Proud like a general of his military rating,
Prepared for a battle, she’s ready and waiting
So much for this so call love and mating.

Armor

I walk along from day to day
Covered in my armor
People may whisper and say
What is she worried will harm her
Though I continue on my way

Little do they know or see
That I'm hiding from all the lemons life has been throwing at me

'nigh Tin Shining Armor

To Trump's great delight
His parents were white
But just out of spite
Could researchers cite
An African knight
Where DNA might
Age milky white
To make it alright
For Blood-Quantum white
Or would that incite
A flight or fight plight?
Form: Verse

Unholy Armor

As weak as it may seem, we love it to death
These wretched words are all we’ll ever have.
This damned shield protects us from good.
It has no coat, no iron, no leather, and no wood
Yet it strengthens our devilish defense…
Unholy armor… written words… science.

You are great
Don't you dare deny that
Look how the sun smiles when you wake up
Look how the moon shadows your every moment

Don't be skeptical
Made for Heaven
Designed with imperfections
Present the world with a new canvas
Attain the Armor of God

You wanted
a knight in shining armor
that I could never be
but you were too shortsighted
to realize that I knew the path
to your liberation

and you turned a blind eye
when I tried
to point out the road home
ignored my every whisper
as the clues
went blindly unexamined

Knight and Shining Armor

Loyal then I'll ever be
Sweet, kind, nice, strong
This savior is the key
to my ultimate happiness

Threw tears, threw cries
Always by your side
Keeping you strong
Even inside

Never doubt the power
Of us together
The power so strong
So bright, my Knight in Shining Armor

My Knight In Shining Armor

Your blue eyes
Your personality shines
I see you on your darkest days
and you see me on mine
You are always with me
and I'm with you
My knight in shining armor
I will not bid you a'do
You're in my heart forever
I see you in my dreams
My knight in shining armor
The sweetest of all things

Common threads and suits of armor
As we grow up it gets much harder
To share the things that made us friends
When views have formed and never bend

It’s just so easy to forget how
To see beneath and find the love now
To open up our minds and hearts and
Hold the sum of many parts

Armor

Her heart I'm told, is covered with steel,
A product she says, of many a raw deal.

So begins the process of starting to heal
Began already, we had our first meal.

As happiness begins, away with the steel
Love replaces metal, the heart again can feel.

Take care to those that melt free the heart,
If damaged again it may break apart.

Knight's Ingratiating Armor

Soaring into the shelter of loving arms
Swinging from hilt of protective gendarme
Swooning in the clutches of ingratiaging charm
Succored by incubating touches so warm
Shielded by your barelled chest from pending harm
Soothed by your enticing, enrapturing smarm
Serenading smile; pulsating lips to your kisses conform
Swivelled contours my erotic impulses inform

This Spiritual Armor

My physical armor lays in decay and waste- Death's bitter aroma has filled this place. Only memories exist of battles won- To conduct my duties, until all is done. Never to retreat, surrender or run in fear- Rather to stand firm and know that God is near. So do not put faith in armor made by man- Instead use the spiritual armor, provided by God's hand.

Body Armor

The bedroom hearthstone
breathes black ice cream
into our shell.
I scuttle on the floes of insomnia
like a conch shell
knocked into the jealous waters.
You sleep soundly.

Maybe we’ll crack open the mudroom door tomorrow
and comb the yard for your mittens.
My yellowed knee
will crawl out of its cast in fourteen days.

The house mumbles something about abandonment.

Knight In Shining Armor

defend my honor
gosh im a goner
have me dreaming more
like the same things i adore
giving me hope i had given up
 turning my heart beat up
 with ever little word
all the hate i had heard
from the last one
is gone
can't wait to look in your eyes
and no longer see the dispise
 in my love's stare
so let me dare
 to take a chance
 on a moments glance
at my knight in shining armor

Lover In Armor

A question unanswered,
a wish unfulfilled

A moment left fleeting,
to wander until

A maiden unmarried,
a tryst never made

A lover in armor,
a husband forbade

A day left to dwindle,
the twilight to roam

A promise indentured,
enslaved and alone

A question unanswered,
a wish unfulfilled

A moment left fleeting
—to wander until

A Man's Armor

A man's armor
unbending,mighty

Only broken by the touch of a woman
the soft, sweet temptation of love and affection

A man's armor
almighty, unbreaking

A man turns fearless, but dangerous
A man turns unstoppable, but emotionless
We trade our imagination in for reality

A man's armor
As strong as carbide, as cold as ice

We become both dead and alive
More animal than man

Time to put my armor on
the enemy approaches
and this won't be fun.

Time to put my armor on
She'll be clad in armor of fire
Girded in the knowledge of
every one of my wants,
needs and desires.

Time to put my armor on
Equipped with the sword
of allure she'll cleave my
heart and they'll be no cure .

Time to put my armor on
and March myself to war
it's hard to fight an enemy
that I adore.

That Knight With Armor Shining

To be that knight whose armor shone,
and kissed the girl who slept alone.
Read about in fairy tales,
the hero who never fails.

Thus always beating the villain,
with his righteousness revealin'.
Then living ever after,
for her hand he would ask her.

The pinnacle of desire,
for a fantasy afire.
As the damsel in distress,
hopes he proves to be the best.

For trust is the paradigm,
when love is the bottom line.
