Journey of the Soul

Journey of the Soul
My heart chooses to ignore the goal,

to reach out,to remember,

long and bitter is the journey of the soul

One,s birth is no more than a polite kiss hello,

no matter how desperate the memory is

to hold on and never let go

In immortal rest will the spirit lay

the soul will remember

what the heart won't say.

What Did I Do?

Hurt
Betrayed
my heart is twisted
I can't breathe my heart hurts too much
I love him so much
what did i do wrong?
what did i say for him to be mad at me?
I miss him
I love him
he is the love of my life
I want to cry, but i can't
my eyes are glistening
my heart is twisted
my stomach is turning
I'm heart broke
I don't even know what I did wrong
I love him

Ano Nuevo

My friend in New Mexico writes
"Does 2010 have a rewind button?"
Earthquakes and tsumanis destroy
worlds beyond us, and in my world,
my sons say how tired they are
just keeping up, keeping on.

My heart already a leaden stone,
lowering somewhere in the middle
of my chest (not the habitat
where a heart should be) sinks lower
and lower toward the ground
until I think, This must be the real
meaning of rock bottom.
