Aurora of dawn unfolds,
Graces all the greens,
Hot air balloons aggrandize!

a poet who has lost his quills ~ no inspiration his muse instills
while waiting for a spark to ignite ~ he is in the dark sans a light
a poet in self-doubt creates chaos ~ do not give your muse a chase
from faded glory, poet arise ~ open your eyes and aggrandize
There’s something more valued
than dollars and cents…
humanity trumping pretend
Your mantra has been
that “winning’s enough”
losing yourself in the end
Each attempt to be clever
and self-aggrandize
takes you away from what’s real
The most treasured of things
to be loved and endeared
—your actions can’t borrow or steal
