Autumn In Sudan

Spring soul wonders of rare weather
There and here, Sudan Bamboo dance

Bamboo in their entity and so nature.

Last Day of July

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Last Day Of July
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: July 31, 2014

Hotter than
the
Sudan,

under
a
Mali sky

Where restless
Lions

roar
with fire -

This is what a river in Sudan told me:

Even if a log lies in the water for a long time,
It does not become a crocodile,

This wisdom tucked in the clouds of my mind
And will remain a guiding light for me.

They Become

The unknown becomes known
the stone now is fallen
the empty spirit from empty fresh is taken
they remain with huge holes in SUDAN
tears brush my day and shade my cry as i cut my own
it is the woman of the last year down
and the torelated pregnant pains my dear in the pan
now the body communicate my fear then.

Sudan

Hurl your stone of words
Care not who gets hit.
For those beyond the wall,
Are enemies of humanity.

Sudan is crying
Someone, wipe her tears.
Death is prying,
Sudan grieves with fears.

Pray, yes, God is all ears.
Speak, and see it spread
Your words, the enemy fears
Your awareness, they surely dread.

Sudan is dying
Don't just pray
Fight for her living.

Lands of the Blacks

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Lands Of The Blacks
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: August/2014

Sudan! Sudan! Sudan!

hotter than
three
Sun's,

and
Black,

as
the shade
of
night -

Though
you are
miles away,

Still....

I'm
where you
are

in
my heart -

My soul
is
here,

but
my spirit,

travels
in
the African
wind -

Sudan! Sudan! Sudan!

Dapper Yan was born in Sudan
in the back seat of a van

His father's name was dapper dan
and little Yan had a sister named Maryanne
All together there is a 100 in the clan
They were spread all over the land some in Spokane

Two Liners

Two liners
He sat on a square stone under an olive tree
contemplating his afterlife.

What if he came back as a donkey in Sudan?
Or dromedary in Sahara.

He could become a dog like the one at his feet,
The dog looked up, wagged its tail slowly.

Pondering this he came to the conclusion
He wanted to be a long-lived olive tree.

The olive tree in Portugal, if in Palestine he risked
Being set aflame by settlers

Freeman's Town

Nt only seeing is believing
Ma thoughts are fading

Almost time to say
goodbye
Leaving for USA in d port of
Sudan

Yeah,Dat's freedom!!!!
Like sleeping in Maridom
Having carved out disturbing dots

A new era is best to be welcomed
Forgetting regrets i never mentioned
Ma loaded gun was shot
I'm cleared of ma spoken burden

I'm freed from ma 1 man's
cell.
Home i anticipate....
The Freeman Town's calling.

The Warring Generals of Sudan

The warring Generals of Sudan

Yesterday, they were friends,
Sharing the cake of power together.
“This kind of friendship never ends”
One corpse did whisper.
Today they fight over the cake of power.
Where has their love gone this hour?
Two guns lock horns,
And civilians suffer.
Our piece of peace has torn.
Guns ring the bell
Of peace. We march to hell.
Generals,
Of wars.
Their murals,
Peacefully painted on the walls
Of wars.

Peace, South Sudan

This is a plea piece for peace,
Peace for beloved south Sudan,
War against each other must cease,
That said and done,
Will put off humanitarian crisis,
My lines on this poem dancing,
to the rhythm of togetherness on a daily basis,
Interested parties has to stop financing,
Acts of animosity, atrocity
First World countries need to intervene,
Thousand are becoming victims of negative ethnicity,
Bring to an end war that's what I mean.

Tragedy of Intelligent Man

Sandy nations of Arabia
bushes of Tropical Congo
rocky lands of Afghanistan
the dry soils of Somalia
waters of the Mediterranean
bush land of Karamoja*
forestland of Colombia
ragged dress of ozone layer
swampland of South Sudan
homeland of Aborigines
All dance to rhythm of same music
tragedy of intelligent man!

*Karamoja is the remotest
part of Uganda where the people called
Karamojong depend on cattle and nature!
Many die of hunger in a nation of plenty!
