Though the chilly breeze of an oppressive winter
lingers a little longer—
giving a wintry sound,
I see the smiling blue sky bending to kiss the ground,
causing charming children to chuckle night and day.
I know the sweet taste of spring is on the way.
Snow may play hide and seek on you,
like a clock—
ticking and kicking.
It may disappear for a while only to reappear,
whispering into your shivering ear,
look I am still here.
My eyes still see the sunshine of joy and hurray.
I know the sweet taste of spring is on the way.
The sweet taste of spring is on the way,
So, smile Oh my soul.
Never allow icy and insane scaremongers
to fill your heart with fear and bind your hope in chain.
As day follows night, spring follows winter.
It will bring you healing, joy, and comfort,
and end your wintry season!

trying to be yourself
whilst others hold you under the
microscope,
these “patterns” revealed,
those of which do not lend any
conclusions,
are drawn up as if they do,
by individuals out on the branches
as crows at a funeral,
like vultures in the desert,
like bloodthirsty scaremongers
wanting the whole of your
happiness
for themselves---
funny to meet s/he who roams
as if the world was their oyster,
funny to meet such a naïve twit---
funny to watch them change like
Autumn leaves,
into those very same wolves
who hunt in packs
to stop you from exhibiting any
individuality,
any semblance of a unique path in
life.
