Rimming Poems

The Distance Between

Far to the east, pale moonlight
Admonishes thoughts yet to be born
To the west, where yesterday is spry
The lighthouse awaits
Her flare quenched by Nature’s cry

Hag-ridden planks of an ancient pier
Weathered and grayer than what lies on top
Scarred scent-laden green
Sway with the rhythm of the briny sea
Revealed in the distance between

Where copper coins and hooks silver cored
Fall to a forever resting place
Held by the sea’s lonesome loam
A pauper’s treasure
Buried by sea foam

Will memories of you once beset
Slip through the distance between
I ponder, salty pearls rimming my eyes
Shall Neptune’s realm hold the sweet bitterness
of what I long to forget

My misery is disrupted by a bird come about
Alabaster body
And ebony eyes
As though sensing my thoughts,
The lowly bird casts me a look of doubt

Ignoring the faithless fowl
I turn my eyes to the
Distance Between
God’s light consumed by the sea’s depth
I peer into the emerald green

Memories like golden cobble shine
I inhale the dark sea’s pungent breath
Through ragged cracks greater than
The distance between life and death

Premium MemberShareable Deliverables

Lampooning as an Angel of Mercy,
You'll find me near the bottom of the apple sauce jar.
This is not a sad tale, this is simple decomposition.
I am aware of the Jesus in me.
And you are too to some degree.

To some degree.
Come to think of it, you might also find me rimming
Right off a jar of kimchee.
Huh, what then would you think of me?

So hush up counting all things terrible.
Come grab this deliverable.
So free and so shareable.

Premium MemberSand, Bricks and Binkies

I'm convinced that if we can't be civil, we must separate.
The differences are becoming too great.
The privileged and the entitled
feeding on the exceptions to the rule.
Plucking out the worst of our races
the rotten grapes of our society.
displayed in a crystal clear bowl
for all the world to see.
Dirty black and dirty white laundry
hanging upon a thin blue line.
Pin headed agitators preparing the bon fire beneath.

It's time to separate-go our own ways,
rather than sling boulders
push each other into pits and grates.
We need a two-state solution and quick.
but first we have to build a wall between us.
The building of bridges experiment has burned down.
But if and when things settle down
{when we grow up a little}
we could open a door in the wall
have a supervised play date,
With pictures of Gandhi-Martin Luther king
rimming the sandbox-to set the mood straight...
With God and the {international} guard at the ready
just in case we start slinging sand, bricks and binkies...again.

A Glow of Suspense

Lays in ambush like a gust of holy winds,
Drooping every stripes of emotion over the stream of hope:
When love is routed on the bases of soul, its flame becomes unquenchable
And such cybernetic mechanism that often dictates the path to true love,
Would make us united forever,
She thoughts as the ripples of the moments dashed through her graceful eyes
Beholding the candles that were held by her hand containing the amber box of chocolate,
Dressed with an ice-cream sauce of glory as she walked down the isle of emotional alienation,
And the drop of tears that threw her over the barricade of sadness,
Filming and rimming off the mirror of her heart was a taste of dark ages,
And the only thing she could see was a glow of suspense

Bored

not revving
but remming
her skateboard
rimming railsliding
catching some air
before the extension
she tucked kneed wanting
trick transition tweak topsheet
i tail grab switch tools stoked stall
i no comply nose grind i'm mongo
manual local lipslide k-grind on
an impossible invert Indy
grab then hip heel flip
method pump pulls
flick trick flip front
gnarly fast plant
bombed a hill
boned

This Twinning Set

this twinning set,
of urchin's smile reflected,
by stale fathers turned to murk,
knapping flint saturated by eons,
gripped saltwise in bitter steel neglected,
high voices cry "banal!" and flow red tears,
     weeping while maxims roar,
at last this abattoir's necessary cut,

eyes rimming rise,
along dross to swirling bones,
as banners once crowned a shining wall,
tattered now on midden in lonely heaps,
crumbled in sieves by millennial crones,
     turnspit dogs with hanging tongues,
     forward marching back again,
     pounding the echoes,

now, polymeric brains,
studied to exalt virtual reasons,
longing to challenge abstract perfection,
as those doomed anguish in tidy archives,
wincing at rhythms of civilian seasons,
nock the future, quiver the past,
into a terrorist leaks a tale,
while a nation rots through a soldier.

Chinadoll

I remember your hands

and their journeys,

firm and sure

they planed my hips,

and smoothed thighs

to abandonment

you touched my eyes

asleep,

as if you could see

the visions of want

in my dream,

rimming my lips of the taste

lingering from my last meal,

(sometimes you)

your hands haunt me

like ghosts of themselves

where once, you would need

to feel the pressure of us

now,

you pick me up like fine china

and press my hands to your lips

as if sipping tea

treat me as iron and marble

pound and polish me

until I beg for no more

Talking of Selsey

Selsey, a glistening jewel by the sea speak to me!
Tell me of the treasures, buried in your beaches
talk of the fishing boats, bolstered by the sea.
Whisper of the stony multitude rimming your waters

wail fruitless against the incessant wind
at all the lost fisherfolk picked from life's tree
shout loudly over the waves, beating on the shore
to try and make a mark against nature's sins

Now speak softly of the balmy sunny days
with wheeling children playing on the sands
speak no more of your turbulent past
forget the heart break and move on
