I write upon cloud clump spread on sky of sorrow,
sliding with the storm surge in my moist eyes,
melting to make torrent of tear
like rain drops rolling on
in reticulate rills on frail foliage face,
spurring me to write a poem for you.
The words I write upon cloud take dissolved shape new
in the sadness channel the tear drops trace
on my face drenched in rainy dawn
like withered leaf so bare,
where to write a new lyric the molten script tries,
keeps promise now for there’s no tomorrow.
Drifting in morose sky on the sad time’s arrow,
I can hear how silently pierced heart cries,
as I find you no longer near,
on chosen way you’re gone.
Upon cloud I write this verse no wind can deface,
but will take to you across the sky blue.
