Warm your embrace and swathed with love
soft your kiss, from heaven above.
Kind your eyes, freeing adoring smile
capturing attention with finessing style.
Waking hours cradled against breast
soothing voice puts calming to test.
Gentle your touch upon soft head
quiets fear, gently puts to bed.
Firm your hand with words of rebuff
teach disappointment, standing tough.
Love stands beside all lessons learned
knowing your life has her concerned.
Teacher of confidence of fortitude
with respectfulness, lasting gratitude.
Teacher of love for thyself and another
no one in this world is like your mother.

Honesty is the whole package
Blowing the other bridges to bits
Living her truth
Loving her people
Utterly trustworthy
A well-put-together package
of respectfulness, goodness, and fair trade.
BOOM! What was that?
The lies of men blowing themselves up
in their confused dendrite fields
Trying to keep themselves straight but losing bitterly
For the truth is easy
But the lie has to be re-done,
She never shows herself without conflict
Truth's nature is easy.
to convince people of her worthiness she just has to be
Lie's nature is to perpetually be disbelieved
Unhonored, unrevered, and disrespected
BOOM!
There they go, blowing themselves up
One after another
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
I get no satisfaction in listening
Recognizing the sorrow caused by sad betrayals
and hurt feelings caused by liars

My mother used to say that you pay for what you get
Time is my currency
If you want my attention
Then you must buy my time
My time is too valuable
To be wasted on the young and foolhardy
I acceptable all forms of kindness, thoughtfulness,
Compassion, helpfulness, respectfulness, caring
And maybe even an unexpected phone call or text message
But I will not accept IOUs, excuses, lateness, sorry or I will be there attitudes
My time is too important to me
and I am too important than my time
My mother used to say people are like demand and supply
If the demand is not met
Then cut off the supply
Time is my currency
You may not be able to afford me
But my time is priceless
