It was so silent, thist most extraordiary Spring night!
I closed my sleepy eyes, on my outdoor, jade recliner.
Warm as the embrace of a beloved, summer’s, cuddly.night.
I was awakened by my Brazilian friend, with a gentle reminder.
“Life is no place for sleeping or weepng, you must live for today.!”
I so desired, to tell him, how very wrong his argument was!
But, I looked to my left, he had brought food and wine on a tray.
Comforting and joy, are gifts that only a good friend does!
After some reportage,he inquired of me, if music could I hear.
He continued… “in Brazil, we call it, the “Samba of the Stars”!i
My interest in his philosophy was most intensely piqued.
It was not long before Orion winked our way, my eyes ever set afar!
This morning is dangerously close to truth.
The sunlight is in bold print,
the figurative blocked out in black and white.
The under-brain
(that sleepy chameleon with diamond eyes),
blinks at a high-rise concrete reality,
eschews poetry for a stark reportage.
The summer blooms and hummingbirds
are not wooden, yet their picturesque
mien and dress
belong in a less brazen realism.
Nothing much flies in more subjective skies.
Beneath an introspective sea
just a few fanciful thought-threads
dangle loosely from misty metaphyseal squids.
The mind must turn to arcane myths
for unobjectified mysticism,
however a short-sighted ground hog
dismisses these inner reflections
as it eats an existential
bright red geranium.
Some sacrificial fonts are filled
with sanctified water
others overflow with blood and bile
all but for the rose petals camouflage
dare we know the difference
A holy child who in devoice distilled
lest in innocence mayhap confront such sanctimonious alter
collectively strangled by guile
for say not to us such criminal reportage
but prefer to consecrate our ignorance
In dissonance are we worse revealed
and laid sightless to truths encounter
be us then the factious rank and file
conversant only to a fools salted mirage
a dummies page of prophetic words rallying our compliance
For they have failed
to fulfill the yearnings of the citizens after election,
Poverty stares them in the face;confused, bemused and abused.
For they also have failed
Hoping to find solace in correct reportage, but instead
they paint the front of newsprint with falsehood.
Who could they turn to?confused, bemused and abused.
Even with 'Dirty-pure' garments they have failed,
false prophesy and vision, just to add to their rotten pockets,
Creator watches;ants and mice silent;confused, bemused and abused.
We have all failed to maintain the good course of nature,
Moral decadence, selfishness and covetousness reign with impunity,
Parents neglect their duties,Families in disarray for few golden coins,
Our future is in jeopardy.Pollution!terrorism!war!,Oh,God!
