Ungloved Hands

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Snow is still falling as I enter the wooded trails. The newly clothed trees rise as white fairytale beings in the wintry landscape. The snow dances in the light, a choreographed ballet conducted by the gentle wind. I’m happy walking in the snow and watching the feathered crystals tumble to the ground. Their chaotic flight forms a white blanket so uniformly, so orderly. I wait for their destination to come to my hand, to alight upon my ungloved fingers letting my warmth be their spring melt.
silent snowflakes fall frosty air numbs my still soul winter’s calm embrace snowflakes dance and twirl winter’s chill upon my skin nature’s icy world
