In the thin air of my thoughts, where obstacles become mountains of time and memories

In the thin air of my thoughts, where obstacles become mountains of time and memories,
Every hurdle jumped seems to break my bones, like branches under the weight of the wind,
Every daily fallen tear turns into silent sighs in the nights of solitude,
Every sin committed haunts my soul like shadows dancing in the moonlight,
And every last chance received, wasted in the flames of a fire that consumes everything in its path.
Hope for a phoenix in the afterlife, ashes lifted toward the blue skies,
Where will my soul fly now, when everything seems to vanish into the air?
Questions gnaw at me, where does a soul go that has been relentless, chaotic, out of control,
The prayer of a sinner, thoughts considered twice, but actions spoken with an "I'd rather,"
Temperate by day, but at night I rise on the wings of another self lost in the abyss,
I am not trustworthy, a cheat, a liar, caught between two opposing worlds,
I hope my soul will choose before it gets lost in the thin air of nonexistence.
In this endless dance of conscience, I seek the light that can show me the way,
In every shadow, I find a part of me struggling to surface, to breathe,
Between two worlds, between two dreams, I hope my choices become guiding stars,
To lead me to a horizon where the soul can find peace in a clear sky,
Before I am lost forever in the thin air, becoming nothing but an echo.
