Good Night Sleep Tight

Good Night Sleep Tight

I lay in bed Processing my day in my head.
Things I’ve forgotten, things I should’ve said.

I can’t quiet the voices in my head
Telling me what I should’ve done instead.

Did I do all I could?
Have I done everything I should?

Is the Lord forgiving
of the life I'm living?

Do my children know the love
That comes unsparingly from above?

Are they saying their prayers tonight
Trusting in the Lord in all things out of sight?

Abba you know my heart,
The turmoil tears me apart.

I hope you are proud of me,
When it is your face I see

Have I shown my gratitude
Being thankful instead of rude?

Please quite these voices in my head
And let me sleep instead.
