The Gift A repost from 2020
This is a repost of a poem I wrote on here in 2020
I dedicate this poem to the Franklin Family
A family who serves others continuously not only locally, but
in their loving worldwide service of love as they work all year to fill
hundreds, if not thousands of shoe boxes with kits, toys and other needs
enclosed, to distribute at Christmas time for children of many tongues,
tribes, nations and creeds. This is Love, this is Light.
Well done good and faithful servants!

The Gift
You saw me on the street today,
Your eyes met mine, I heard you pray.
You went on to the grocery store,
You purchased needs, and a bit more.
I saw you pick up things for me,
Gifts of soup and bottled tea.
You placed those items in your cart,
And I could see your loving heart.
Then you drove back, and in your eyes,
I saw me in your face.
You like the moon reflecting light,
You were reflecting grace.
Your light was from the Son,
And His love for everyone.
You said God bless, I said I will,
My blessing is upon you still.
Whatever you've done for the least of these,
In His name, you have done for me.
