Pentecost Sunday - Linking Pin Sonnet and Prayer

I Will Pour Out My Spirit
A Spence Linking Pin Sonnet — Devotional Voice

I will pour out My Spirit like a song,
Song of the heavens falling soft as rain.
Rain on dry bones to raise the lost and wrong,
Wrong turned to right by mercy in the flame.

Flame in the eyes of daughters who now dream,
Dreams of the Kingdom rising from the dust.
Dust shall not hold the voice of those redeemed,
Redeemed by fire, by promise, and by trust.

Trust in the Word that echoes through the land,
Land where the old shall see and speak anew.
Anew I move by more than mortal hand,
Hand of the Lord now breaking through the blue.

Blue turns to gold as holy winds take flight,
Flight of the Spirit, dancing into light.

Author’s Comment for Devotional Reflection: The Spirit’s outpouring is a promise of new life and transformation. Like rain on dry bones, God’s Spirit revives what was dead or broken. The flame of God’s presence kindles fresh dreams and renews hope in every generation. When we open our hearts, the Spirit’s song becomes our own, carrying us beyond limits into freedom and purpose. Pentecost reminds us that God’s power is active here and now, inviting us to trust and step boldly into the new.

Pentecost Inspirational Prayer:
Holy Spirit, come like a gentle song and a mighty flame.
Pour Yourself out on us — on our hearts, our homes, and our world.
Raise up voices to speak truth and hope.
Renew dreams that have faded and ignite a passion for Your Kingdom.
Help us to trust Your timing and Your power, moving through us to bless others.
Guide us in Your light, today and always.
Amen!
