Redder Than a Valentine's Heart

Blood sustains everyone's life until fate allows it not to ever
flow in their warm veins: think of the cold water
of rivers and streams, but will heartbeats fail
to pump it until they become too old and frail?

Blood has the color of beautiful red scarlet sages,
mine is redder than a Valentine's heart and the heart of mother
who loved her country with landscapes of roses;
I will only shed or give my blood for any cause worthy dying for!

Evil and goodness are said to be in the blood of all humans beings:
they are the forces stronger than us: one causes war, the other peace;
if in my blood thoughts of animosity should rise, I'll make them cease...
not letting madness stir my anger and think of many harmful things!
