Heart Gentle, Eye Mindful

The soft ripples in the pond,
Gently grow weaker as they respond.
The kindness of one’s heart,
Is a dearly loved part,
And should never be abused.
Never let it be here to be used.

One must also have a mindful eye.
If it isn’t right there is no reason to comply.
Keep your gentle heart for those deserving.
Watch the ripples don’t become curving.
Using all your will to help those in need.
Also be gentle on yourself this you must heed.

As a new day begins all the lights unlit.
Rest easy that there is no need to over commit.
There’s been times when love forgot to smile,
That’s no reason to wonder if life’s worthwhile.
Use your gentle heart to help you strive,
But always feel it’s wonderful to be alive.

Weighing the good times with the bad.
Seeing more gladness than times you were sad,
Its time to help someone or make them your friend.
Always have faith in human goodness to the end.
This takes a mindful eye to see what’s really true.
Keep an open heart, be aware of all going on around you.

Life has taught me to look for profits by helping friends.
It’s a sure thing that hating never paid any dividends.
There are folks who try to get it all and scream cheat.
They reach for the stars, and trample flowers at their feet.
Day is in full bloom and my heart is gentle and still.
I take a cup of kindness and drink my fill.

Every song in harmony, I hear the birds sing,
There is a message that whispers from an Angel’s wing.
Reaping the rewards of every kind deed that’s done,
Whether it’s hundreds that you help or just one.
An eyeful of wisdom, while seeing the peace it brings,
To ordinary folk that value simple things.

It seems a gentle heart is most assuredly blessed,
When it has suffered sorrow and yet knows gladness best.
Living and learning to forgive, reflects the smile of God,
Blessed to have experienced love, as over this earth I trod.
It’s good to possess a heart gentle and an eye mindful.
And a partition is best when every page is signed full .
