Ink of Heaven
Even in her womb, he already knew
the light of the world who grew
inside her, inspiring her, inviting her
the lines would never blur…
it was God incarnate, the Master
who wrote the story of grace for each pastor,
the story who brought the life to my soul
the music that would sing me whole
Even inside Elizabeth’s womb
the story of love would bloom
wiping away every doubt, each fear
silencing the shadows – every tear
it was God incarnate, come to seek
all the ones who were lost and weak
the lonely hearts, the doubters, the frail
those who yearn for love that will never fail
Even in her womb, John knew
the beauty of a love who’d come through
a love beyond describing, it is alive
making hearts reach for Jesus, and thrive
it was God incarnate, who taught my heart to see
beyond the weakness inside me, as I bow to my knee
reaching across the skies, to the gentle hand who guides
inside me, His peace, grace, and love reside…
He is the way, the truth, the life
and I believe He will end all strife
He is the reason I’ll reach heaven in time
I’m so grateful He’s forgiven me of every crime!
It was God incarnate, Jesus Christ, the Son
who wrote my story with a pen who’ll write “well done”
when I breathe my final breath and meet Him face to face
there in His kingdom, where love’s ink is shaped by grace.
