Dear Federal Senators, I am asking you to protect Medicaid because
our home care workers would lose their essential care taking jobs and their
clients would also lose their necessary services.
If you are on Medicaid, you should send your own cards to your Senators.
They are more interested in providing unnecessary tax cuts for billionaires
who don't really need them instead of protecting the very best interests
of lower income Americans. Many Senors have dual Medicaid/Medicare
coverage if they are sixty-five years old or older.
Are you working and do you work for a union for example, home care etc?
Is your union actively contacting your very own senators on your behalves?
Do your clients and/or your agencies receive Medicaid funding?
If they can get away with gutting Medicaid your current and/or future
Medicare and Social Security benefits are at risk.
But Medicare is also not very secure either, because after they cut out
all Medicaid services, Medicare and then Social Security are next on
their governmental chopping blocks.
They plan on reducing SSI payments, even though I could find no evidence of
this while surfing the internet. They will not be stopping there and will be also
reducing both SSDI and SSA payments most likely. But the cost of living
will continue to increase including rental, housing and mortgage payments.
Many low income Americans only have Medicaid as their only source of health
care. Without it many will lose their mental health and their physical health care.
The government is throwing their very own people under the bus. For example,
Compass Health, is a Medicaid only provided mental health facility. Workers
would lose their jobs and their clients will lose their essential mental health
coverage. Medicaid sponsored health care facilities would lose their funding
also, workers would lose their jobs and their patients would be losing their
only source of their vital health care.
What about hospitals and emergency wards? They rely heavily on both Medicaid
and Medicare funding also. Can you clearly perceive the damaging ripple effect
cutting essential services and healthcare will cause? There's not one single working
class American or low-income beneficiary that will not become severely impacted
by this governmental over reach!
They've been talking about this for as long as I can remember regardless of
political party /or political affiliation and I will be turning 71 years old
this October 2025! Now is not the time on our watch for them to get
away with this period act now!
