Latent tendencies
vasanas or tendencies cage our soul
being the instincts to which we are bound
whence in stupor thus, our heart not feel whole
yet through consciousness correction, joy’s found
holding still focus in the vibrant void
witnessing the ebb and flow of urges
we’re then not by our impulses decoyed,
since light of true Self within heart surges
watchful awareness, breath by breath maintained
slowly brings about a consciousness shift
that we be from ego cravings unchained
reclaiming soul’s light, no longer adrift
there are no shortcuts; there’s work to be done
if we truly seek with God to be one
