Written: May 10, 2024, For Jay Narain Summer Contest Rumi Quote: Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Flowers grow in the warm touch of summer, Jasmine and gardenias smell strummer. A seductive scent pervades the space, An illustration of passion transcends interlace. Sunflower view chases a sun's dazzling pathway, Pansies proceeds with colors in a bright display. Lavender-purple petals—are a soothing sight, Attracting bees and birds, a whimsical flight. Orchid's elegance is a squint to grasp, Ginger and heliconia—stories yet unclasp. Hawaiian blooms, with exotic grace, Beckon us to relish their vibrant embrace. A vivid show of marigolds and birds of paradise, Hibiscus blooms—giving it a divine melodize. Chrysanthemums, daisies, and dahlias are bright, It's a tapestry of colors—a celestial sight. Flowers paint our path from heaven to earth, It is a symphony of beauty—a gift from birth. Petunias, as elegant as they seem, Butterflies flutter—drawn to their gleam. Cherish summer, with this floral display, Where summer's embrace holds us sway. Its beauty inspires,— its fragrance delights, As we bask in nature's wondrous sights.
