Saturn ! You magnetised with
enchanting icy rings
promised white gold
endless skates on
Chrysalis circled cates
said we would go round
like fairy rings
said you had so much
Love to give I would never
go wanting nor be mere
interstellar dove to shove
said we were a pair to
helium share winds to
dare !
One ring lemon yellow
smiles metallic miles
I sensed a wilyness
my eyes glued with
symphonic hues
ears clouded with
vapour vestments dew
one ring like a Mexican
hat I wore in Gaia’s spring
my crown shut with Sun
I did not know it was one
of your cunning Cronus
smoke jokes !
I decided that perhaps
you were the One I was
sorrowfully seeking
skated and skated
round we swirled like with
Sufis I once danced
pranced in Arabian curls
cloaked in silk super
strappy whorls
Pandora and Prometheus
peeping for your weeping
Zeros and ones your fire
worked its magic in purple
gold bronze emerald

I drunk from your luminous
circles for centuries on end
capture complete with
roundabouts to reap my
liquid pure and sweet
I fed your unquenchable
thirst until I was but a ping

trickery manifestation jaws

Saturn ! You sucked me sly

from Sky to outskirts of Earth
impoverished fate, Celestial
mythical mate !
I fell onto a rock in a desert
bleeding, serpents slithering

luminous circles, loops
circumferenced gift girdles
mischievous you grinned

in a spectacular spindly
show so talented taken
with naughty nymphs
your ammonia victims
Wait bright circled
Planet of law lightning
those endless skating
cleared my eyes from
starry glue so true
ice skating diminished
my Sun to see Dark
mystery when Moon Titan
its beauty cursory hidden
Centuries of skating
signified no more hating
vapour dew cleared
from ears for your
throaty thrills chilled
my fears becoming
your red cloak frills
dissipated black hole
