Lord God, You Are My Zeal Igniter
February 15 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Numbers 25-28
Key Verse – Numbers 25:13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY ZEAL IGNITER
Lord God, You are my zeal Igniter…
… charging me toward earnest repentance
Thank for inviting me to seek Your covenant of peace-assistance
As I rise up from the plague of leaving You, staying from a distance
And turn from Your wrath to stick to You with no resistance.
Lord God, You are my zeal Igniter…
… correcting in being lured by beguiling worldliness
Thank for securing me with Your inheritance-goodness
As I win over my struggle against selfishness
And yield to Your control of sovereign holiness.
Lord God, You are my zeal Igniter…
… challenging me to enjoy Your heavenly possession
Thank for settling me inside Your protection
As I praise You for including me in Your family of blest position
And offer to You my best devotion.
Lord God, You are my zeal Igniter…
… changing me for Your glory
Thank for enabling me to submit to Your statutes’ jury
As I share with others precious Gospel story
And pass through trials toward Your victory.
Lord God, You are my zeal Igniter…
… chaining me to Your sanctifying power
Thank for counselling me in my task as Your sower
As I depart from fleshly ambitious tower
And follow Your leadership for being Your soul-winning goer.
Lord God, You are my zeal Igniter…
… checking me by Your truth and light
Thank for teaching me that in Your presence I must delight
As I honour You in walking by faith, not by sight
And accept Your law’s converting-transforming might.
Lord God, You are my zeal Igniter…
… cheering me up through Your redemptive sacrifice
Thank for propelling me to continue in You with no disguise
As I exalt You for Your grace and mercy that suffice
And persevere to labour for You along Your compassion-price.
