ich liebe Bayern, Deutschland--I love Bavaria, Germany

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Guten Tag my poet friends! I want to share my memories of a long-ago brief trip to Bavaria, Germany, as well as my love for the home of my German descendants. This poem is also my first truly alliterative poem. Viel Spass!
Bavaria is breathtaking, basking beneath brilliant blue skies of southern Germany. Perched proudly upon a peaceful pedestal is Neuschwanstein Castle Built to be a majestic manor, a mystical palace, and soothing sanctuary~ Seemingly suspended somewhere above a slope of sentinel saplings, Below it, silence settles over sleepy settlements, scattered farmsteads. In the Black Forest air, time twists and tangles Mornings merge, midnights murmur and minutes melt, mesmerizing me. Swirling symphonies surround serene shores, floating freely on fluid fanfare of the Danube's curves; the Rhine gently glides, meandering through misty mountains. Ancient castles line rivers’ shores while mellow melodies of Mozart's masters, merge with majestic mindscapes, making memories of Bavarian bliss. Further south dwell distant cities dusted with déjà vu where secretive streets with shimmering sounds swirl in stylish settings, where sleek silhouettes sway to seductive beats, in offbeat outlets, obscure and outstanding, the exclusive, eclectic enclaves of Hamburg, Dresden, Dortmund, and Berlin. October brings the grape harvest. Autumn’s abundance attracts adventurers to Munich. Oompa bands boast boisterous beats. Beneath the boundless, blue Bavarian skies, Bountiful banquets beckon where breads and bratwurst blend, Beer bottles beckon, from barrels and bars. Steins are sloshed with swaggering splendor. Generations gather; Bavarians bask in bucolic bliss. Hearts harmonize in humble hymns of heritage held dear. Hand in hand, they huddle, harvesting hope.
