FAITH IN GOD WHO HEARS US IN OUR DISTRESS
God hears us in our distress and frustration
Ever attentive to our supplication
As we cleave to Him by faith, obeying His instruction
For our direction against destruction.
God hears us in our distress and helplessness
Ever ready to meet us with His graciousness
As we trust Him by faith, seeking His righteousness
For our growth against fruitlessness.
God hears us in our distress and sigh
Ever compassionate to draw us nigh
As we cling to Him by faith, soaring spiritually high
For our drive against slothfulness-tie.
God hears us in our distress and woe
Ever patient to cheer us in our sorrow
As we call to Him by faith, begging for restoration-glow
For our revival against gloomy show.
God hears us in our distress and misery
Ever truthful to point our cause of worry
As we learn from Him by faith, acknowledging His victory
For our triumph against hell’s fury, declaring Gospel story.
God hears us in our distress and challenges
Ever protective to cover us from our stress-surges
As we rely on Him by faith, depending on His recharges
For our well-being against unhealthy changes.
God hears us in our distress and plight
Ever caring to support our commitment-height
As we exalt Him by faith, doing what is right
For our service against sinfulness-blight.
