Hateful Thoughts

A hateful dance, a twisted reel,
Where judgment's call is sharp as steel.
'You people' stare, with eyes so cold,
A chilling tale, a story told
Of hateful thoughts, a whispered blight,
And hateful words, both dark and tight.

Judging looks, a silent scorn,
'Do you think you are my god, born
To judge me, tear me limb from limb?
Are you any better, within?'

Gossip's breath, a serpent's hiss,
Behind my back, a cruel abyss,
To tell me I am not enough,
A poisoned dart, a bitter bluff.

Should you be allowed to cast your stones,
Upon a soul that's flesh and bones?
To tear me down, to make me bleed,
When your own flaws you fail to heed?

No, let the dance of hate subside,
Let empathy become your guide.
For in the end, we're all the same,
Beneath the mask, we all whisper his name.

We all deserve a gentle hand,
A chance to rise, to understand.
So let the stones remain uncast,
And let compassion be our own.
