Shifting Foundations

We've built walls where bridges could be,
Painted skies with the dull gray of "should be"
Instead of the wild colors of "could be."

Look around you
What do you call a failure?
What do you name success?
Who taught you these definitions,
And did you ever question the test?

We pour ourselves into vessels others crafted,
Then wonder why we feel contained.
Society isn't concrete but water,
Always ready to take a new shape.

Connection by follows and likes.
See how we measure worth by productivity,
Time by money, Space by property lines.
And no time for mental health and creativity.

What if wealth can be found in moments that don't cost,
In hands held, in breaths shared, in broken things mended?
What if silence holds more wisdom than speech?

When you shift your perspective, see how
arbitrary our boundaries are,how we've mistaken
convenience for truth, Tradition for necessity,
Comfort for righteousness.

Impossible is often just an unpracticed imagination.
Normal is just the most traveled path,

So let's practice.
Let's unlearn together.
Let's whisper questions that shake foundations.
Let's stand in different corners of the room
And describe what we see without dismissing each other.

Because society isn't something that happened to us
With every choice, every word, every assumption unchallenged,
Every vision is embraced or denied.
Vision is only shown when we open up our eyes

Shift your perspective.
Then shift it again.
And watch as the world transforms
Not because it changed,
But because you did.????????????????
