Shadow
Oh, the dark grey shapeless clouds,
How they win the battle of the sky,
Their illusions cast shadows,
On the field, where dreams fly high.
In the midst of this surreal scene,
I sit here, suspended, waiting,
As tears flow like an endless stream,
Silenced by the night, in solitude, fading.
Loneliness engulfs me, profound and deep,
A hollow feeling that transcends,
I fall into a depth, I cannot keep,
My heart aches, and my soul bends.
As the clouds continue their conquest,
I feel as if I've been here before,
If we could start over, what would be best?
Could we do any better, than what we have in store?
This emotional roller coaster we ride,
Leaves us hurt and feeling so lost,
With stoned eyes, we often choose to hide,
The truth, that it was never the cost.
My mind drifts, into the unknown,
My heart, a shadow in this world of light,
Seeking to forge a path, all alone,
Suspended forever, against the shadow, I fight.
For in the midst of this surreal scene,
It's the hope that keeps us going,
The faith that things will change, and we'll be seen,
Through the darkness, the light will keep glowing
