Conceits
"Conceits"
Such conceits
as veils between
our windowed worlds
torn torrential incomplete
mayst thou watch and learn
the one I spawned,
strength beats weakness
carried soft and harsh
one direction or the other
strength and weakness
both carried soft and harsh
ego and pride is a black bog marsh
through great battles
thou must not tarry,
now time, like falling sand, falls fast,
to the greatest depths of nothing
abandon futile arguments
needs must now be replaced
with hearts that take
each soul back by the feet
to journey circle onward
reach thy gifted fates
each a key
for thy merited selection
poesies I have charmed
bewitched, and
pressed like legends
‘tween each page
as if their strident subtlety
marks thee my greatest guest
and my greatest woe, yet thee,
my most ardent pleasure to invest
lovely April of thy prime
‘tween each page
I have steeped in each chalice
damnation struck by pure divine
shards of broken hell
under heels bleeding
extracted military precision
in the unbless’ed healing
written through stigmata
I viciously cast out demons
effortlessly I swallowed them like burley
they were all sinking ships departing safe harbour
for thy future memory
twixt it all, two stigmas caught
in the cross fire, fierce warriors
neither never sainted martyrs
the tower,
brick by mortal brick
for thy dismantle
and thy keep
the shadows
and the sunshine
on each brick
a name and a number
to engage fast and firm
each golden conjuration
how thou art seen through
Venus glass of alchemist
thy mother’s silver pane
the burning passion of
her loss returning prime
blood vain and seamed undone
in all the carnage
remains stalwart,
fearless, lucid and
supernaturally undamaged
for herself and her number one
metaphysical marks séance sung
in the chronicles of wasted time
her treatise is now won
thou art
the emeralds
she has worn
draped in repeating rhyme
constant and true
in defeat and
victory war cries
jade fires shooting stars
her shining comet
that in its tale
burned away
all dark nights
disintegrates ghouls
in their usurping veils
murdering the darling fools
all flashing untruths like false pyrite
so far away, held captive by the past
yet in her dreams held close
the scorching burns salved by her
cascading waterfalls
she materialised
with might
walking electric
and invisible
seeking you out
on the other side
of yesterday’s cursed pride
towards good morrows
she marched right
through it all, planting herself
mind naked, a lonely ghost
on strange word humming walls
in the place of haunting portals
there are keys for tokens
strange words and puzzles
to be re-arranged, then broken
her wild forests
growing vast tomes
like climbing ivy territorial
smothers every wound
seeking you, each letter in each word
in each sentence, a murder of crows
sent flying across a white sky, reaching out for
your magnetised deep green pools
reeling you in, realing you in
meeting twin-like
the one magnetised mind
there in her vast unmeasured caverns
to you now open and entranced
the hallowed central core
beckons forth your
much anticipated debut entrance
as ever, whilst afraid
you are courageous
there you stand alone
you, its final keeper
to embrace its imprinting
significant purpose
inviting your reflection
to mine, that is her's, ever forever nearer
the centre of you no longer sleeper
empathic fearless freedom blooms
to live as dreamt
in her highest dimension
branching ever upwards
in her transformative sky
there are no enclosed rooms
there is justice, and re-generation
prodigious prodigy
an extra gift for thee
new bountiful feather quills
to fly and write new skies
some kind of good dark angel
beckons lost novice
unbending and evolving
bathed in its Love Light
you,
the sweetest
green apple
of her eyes
hold the keys
to open all inside
set loose
set free
full grown
the wingspan you possess
to soar and claim
your own blue sky
