You are just a grain of sand in an endless hourglass, time flows ceaselessly
You are just a grain of sand in an endless hourglass, time flows ceaselessly,
And one day you will be gone, stardust scattered in the cosmic wind of forgetting,
Maybe in twenty years, maybe tomorrow at dawn, when the sky is barely waking,
So am I, a fleeting shadow on the earth that continues to breathe,
The world will go on, a river that doesn't halt in the face of our absence,
Flowers will bloom, birds will sing, the seas will whisper their ancient secrets,
We will be just memories, stories told by the fireside on long winter nights,
But now, right now, in this moment full of life and light,
You do your duty under the vast sky, in the face of the ephemeral that surrounds us,
How seriously you take yourself, only you can decide, an actor on the stage of time,
With each step, you choose to dance or walk in silence, to laugh or to cry,
Life is a fleeting dream, a kaleidoscope of moments breaking into colors,
And in every sunrise, in every sunset, we find fragments of ourselves,
And perhaps in this awareness of the end, we find the courage,
To love more deeply, to laugh louder, to live more authentically,
For we are just comets through this universe, but in our passing, we leave a trail of light.
