Tropical Storm

On a hot, muggy evening in late spring,
in Florida, Mother Nature was doing her thing.
Bolts of lightning: a spectacular show
hovering over the Gulf of Mexico.
Flashes with white, yellow and orange hues
glowing repeatedly with variations of views.
In the distance, a constant rumble of thunder
with jagged firebolts seeming to rip the sky asunder.
Was the sky in anger, with a message to tell?
Was it lighting up the gates of heaven…or hell?
The message is quite clear to describe what I saw:
Respect our natural world and regard it with awe.
