A Bedded Down Quack
A doctor once came to the country
Where no doctor happened to be.
He set himself up a practice
To earn himself some money.
The doctor had a crazy notion
That he had stored up in his head.
He thought that if he could manage it
He'd work right from his bed.
The people thought it loony
When they came to see the Doc.
The uncouth practice of the man
Became the country constant talk.
The care was lousy given
No money would they pay.
They couldn't stand the quack
So they sent him on his way.
