Pundits preachers politicians
you may see
attorneys too
and even agree with me
I think you'll find
all have an agenda
with an axe to grind
lining their pockets
feathering their nest
keeping their cards
close to the chest
saying one thing
doing another
I'd take 'em out and shoot 'em
if I had my druthers
and then there's censorship
where one man's word rules the roost
to remain silent would be
a gag order self-induced
Bricusse and Newley had it right
when they wisely wrote
'Stop the world, I want to get off!'

Do nothings
wth tenure
poseurs sublime
Their barrels
sit empty
coated
with lime
The space
they take up
much better off
closed
For those
they have
poisoned

The arrogant despise his arrogance.
The proud detest his pride.
The corrupt criticize his corruption.
The immoral spurn his immorality.
He is hated by those who hate,
rejected by those who reject
and judged by those who judge.
But heat has raised their dross
in the cauldron of words
making if float for all to see.
What claimed purity
is now revealed
as polluted.
What was appealing
is now covered
with its own imperfection.
They pretend to be sentinels of right,
night watchmen preserving peace
in darkened streets,
While failing to recognize him,
the one they want to kill,
as one of their own.

The Pundits
By Franklin Price
3/10/2016
The pundits that I see and hear
Can't seem to clear the hump
To reason why Republicans
Are being led by Donald Trump
It seems so very clear to me
Can see the writing on the wall
It's time that the establishment
Took their long awaited fall
For years and years have promised change
Yet will not take a stand
All they think is re-election
How free money is so grand
Block all that's for the people
'Cause they're not in command
No one can be right but them
They do nothing for the land
All we do is stagnate
At best we run in place
Must kick out the do-nothings
Not have to look at either face
So pundits just admit it
As to why the Trump is here
The way the vote is going
Should make that very clear
When the establishment recognizes
That the people have a voice
And put up someone else who cares
To give us another choice
Maybe then the wave will break
And rumble to the shore
Believe that will not happen soon
Tried that several times before
