Santa Postponed Christmas

This Christmas season is much too bleak
The pandemic is sending it up the creek
because the elves are sick with Carona Virus
A situation that's far from being desirous
and getting worse with every passing week

Even the reindeer are wearing a sad frown
There won't be enough toys to go all around
and now Santa is infected with the Covid

My days of walking on the moon are over
I've put away my cape and belt
I'm done with saving dying planets
Just let the Polar ice caps melt

Let all the oceans rise
Let toxic waste fall from the skies
Let endless rain Reign endlessly

Let rivers burst their banks
Let floods of tears swell the ranks
And form a mighty Tsunami

She went away like all the others… 
Now I long for her tender touch…
I writhe in my twisted mind…
She left me with only memories, 
which I violently clutch…
I awaken in drenched sheets; screaming…
There is no consultation; no one to tell me I’m dreaming…
I’m left to slay my dragons and fight my demons alone…

You’ll never guess what they have done;
Politics went and moved the fun!
Ghosts, Ghouls, and Goblins please take note;
you won’t be prowling in a boat.
Kings and queens do not be dismayed,
there’ll be no rubbish to evade.
Heroes and villains hold your fights;
you’ll show off in just a few nights.
Assorted creatures, patience please,
there will be time to trick
