Entertainment on TV
Or radio depends
On funding from the government
Or ads for private ends.
Both PBS and NPR,*
With Public in each name,
Provide such joy for tuners-in,
With years of much acclaim.
From children’s shows to orchestras
To journalists with news,
The varied offerings present
A host of different views.
Yet now an order has been signed -
I’ll let you guess by whom -
To end all public funding,
As these stations meet their doom.
To stop “woke propaganda”
By the “monsters” on the “left,”
This, instead, will damage children
And leave listeners bereft.
The only monster I can see
Is one who thinks he’s king
And every day I wonder
What new horror he will bring.

It's seven weeks now into my recovery,
too much couch time and lots of tv..
I stopped my subscription to CNN, no longer
in need of a biased news trend..
My local news channels have kept me in touch,
with the weather, crimes, and opiates too much..
I discovered the World Channel is just what I need,
a global perspective with the most balanced feed..
Penn State offers this broadcast for free and it
comes with wonderful educational documentaries to see..
I love learning about people and cultures I'll never see, on
our wonderful planet with such diversity.
Their journeys, their struggles, their resiliency,
restores my faith in humanity..

A PBS SPECIAL: IF AS SUNG BY BREAD
Mm mm, if I had a sweet tooth,
I think I would be sugar proof.
A cake would be nice
to satisfy this appetite.
Sweet rolls are in the stove.
Let me turn my music on.
I must send a wavelength
to the cook.
She or he will prepare bread,
if his or her mood is good.
I am mill in here.
I am self-rising flour dear…
Oh, she hears.
Greetings darling!
Hello Mill, she is retrieving me.
I am about to be intensified.
Oh, she coming back for me now.
Sweetbread she will behold in her eyes.
Many desserts to come,
he has joined, shouted Mill and Self-Rising Flour.

(This is a fictional poem)
PBS has some quality shows and they no longer allow people to watch without
paying.
They beat the hell out of me and now the hospital is where I'm staying.
I got beat up so bad that I had to have some amputations.
From now on I'm going to make damn sure that I give them donations.
I'm going to tell you something that you must do.
Give PBS money or they'll kick your ___ too.
