Panjandrum Poems | Examples

Folderol Gallimaufry

At the risk of coming off turgid
I offer this tale esoteric
Hoping it’s not found insipid
Nor causes one to be apoplectic
But rather received with alacrity
Without the need for paroxysm
My word there’ll be no chicanery
And avoidance of anachronism
Far from being sesquipedalian
Nor need for any razzmatazz
The tale of the slubberdegullion
Who thought himself full with pizzazz
Though being so supercilious
His affect stirred only dudgeon
Any good was so very fugacious
From this untoward tatterdemalion
Yet still he persisted a mumpsimus
If you will, and worse a panjandrum
So aggravating and rumbustious
Redeeming qualities not a modicum
An unquestioned snollygoster
Given to being quite vagary
An ill-reputed hugger-mugger
And a voice of such cacophony
But I see that you are insouciant
And consider my warning malarkey
Since you wish to be recalcitrant
My apologies for being persnickety
I end my tale of the rapscallion
Without further ado or rigmarole
Avoiding becoming ultracrepidarian
I have met my supererogatory parole

NOTE:THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE using spaces&breaks without grammatical symbols ,the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and responds thus making this enigmatic form a two way interplay & interpretatIon unique to the moment& changing according to mood is inherently variable.

Prejudice

Beautiful ponder how you meander
in all constraints of unmeasurable tender
you are mine.
And I shall keep you close.

Panjandrum is not your domain
so bear no false witness my friend
for I know thee well my perpetual self.
Misunderstood as you are,
in love we shall pertain.
And I shall keep you close.

Make no sacrifice to past missed
nor give offering from here to eternity
for you owe nothing to the disdain of prejudice.
Only beauty will keep you.
And I shall keep you close.

I'Ll Not Give Up On You

I'll not give up on you

I'll not give up on you
Sometimes I will show off
Sometimes I will hide it

I'll not give up on you
I will stay with you
Through thick and thin
Through hard times and happy ones

I will hold you back always
You bent You crawl
You break You mend
I will race with your heartbeats
At times you fail
At times you gain

You are beautiful,
With or without maquillage
You are baguette,
Inbred precious priceless and panjandrum
You are mine,
Wholly owing to the breathes and the life

As the Universe whirls
The fire warms and the ice burns
Let the waves carve sculptures on sand
So do lava traces an alley
And the Earth merry-go-rounds
'Whatever it takes, no matter my love';
'I'll will never give up on you'!
