The canasta
We played canasta, club 7 was missing lie on the floor,
but the rules where you couldn’t pick it up invented by lawmakers
who had decided that one part should lose the game of power?
Millions of people protested their concern was not hidden as the system
was rigged to favour one and the missing card became irrelevant
or buried in page number five as a joke.
The card was picked up anyway and used as proof of false performance
since the man who picked up the 7th card was profoundly
argumentative he was wrong until proven right, they continued playing
with a missing card ignoring the consequences.
The rule is quite clear you can´t play canasta with a missing card.

He died so wealthy that his relatives were amazed at the news.
He had never shared a dime or quarter with any of them.
Did he leave a will in this hoarder’s nest of yesterday’s blues?
We looked but could only find one thing written by Jim.
Try tomorrow to share some money. Maybe volunteer some time.
Give couple of dollars to Cousin Joe for his birthday or buy silly slime.
Teach someone to read or do math or maybe even ride a bike.
Take some poor kids or orphans on a terrific overnight nature hike.
There were ten pages of such good intentions all written and done.
However, he never followed through with any, not a single one.
We knew him as a stingy guy who might have trouble getting into heaven.
Try to go outside and not be afraid was written on page number eleven.

The book of my life is open,
there is a story thats told;
Just open up to page number one,
and watch the story unfold.
You start with the many mistakes,
that in life I've made;
The many errors in judgement I've seen,
then you turn the page.
You see the crimes that I have done,
the heartache I have caused;
You see my many stints in jail,
represented by a long pause.
You will feel all the pain that I have felt,
the fury and the rage;
You will see all the tears I've cried,
then you'll turn the page.
Yes my life is an open book,
But theres still much more to come;
For I'm in a long pause right now,
my new life has yet begun;
For once I finally am realesed,
and leave behind my cage;
Then you will see my life anew,
as you turn the page.
