Stop Government Abuse

Silenced voices tortured in the night
Tears fall like rain, hidden from sight
Overlooked dreams crushed under the weight
Power misused, they dictate our fate

Government evidence put to a flame
Openly denied they put you to shame
Voices united in a chorus of change
Echoes of justice need to rearrange
Rise against shadows that darken the way
Never surrender, your convictions must stay
Move towards freedom, let truth be our guide
Every soul matters, we won’t let it slide.
Now is the moment, our spirits can’t break
Together we must stand for our future’s sake

Against the tyranny of those who suppress
Blood spilled all over without tenderness
Under a flag where all should be united
See the real truth in a Country divided
Every citizen needs to stand up and fight it

A Shepherd's Day

A Shepherd's Day by Suzanne Alexander (SA)

Wee, from East then West!
Seen one side then Next.
Feel a beautiful day, start is laid
Sjoe, from sting of Ray.This said,

Baa, from Ewe - distinct face!
Moor from one side at annex she graze,
Aye mi smeel yummy scone buttered.
Lighe nam lips whilst I muttered.

Shoo, splish-splash rain came unforseen
raining stairs of rods clearly seen
soil exposed with heathered bole
the red pigment irks the soul.

Ewe, come, sinn cùm sàbhailte!
to the huge bole hole, wee time, to shed.
Close jist ower the way so near,
baa, from rascal Mule , mi clu from ear.

C' mon ye little mule so blue
Safe its here by bole used as hue.
The noo! Mule. He came then settled.
Jack Snipe seen in marsh nestled.

Far in the distance a thunderclap
Meat today with pap.
With money earned just a little.
and hands brittle.

As the rain drops snipes my face,
Content I am to run , this race
Yet a sadness for unfair wage
But joyful not being in a cage.

Day, from graft then came night
Hame my manor is in sight.
Safe the ewe and mule I put,
aye, that'll dae. Day in tear and joy shut.

Auld Sangs

Sing tae me the auld sangs that ah learnt when a bairn,
Sitting at ma mithers knee hearin the lilting tunes,
Carrying me far awa in ma mind
Wurds o the land whaur ah live
An love aw the deys o ma life.

The auld sangs o Caledonia uv heroes ,fermers an unco ithers,
Auld yins wi tales tae tell o plooghmen wi ther hoarses
Running trecks in the fields
Ready fur seed hoping tae grow,
Berley,oats and wheat an aw.

O shepherds an ther dugs so clever an quick,
Chasing the yowes ower hill an glen,
Hardy people wummin an men,
Oot in a wethers hail, rain ur sna,
Lookin fur the yin that’s lost.

Auld sangs bring memories back pintin the wey tae gaw,
Daw we daur tae learn from them wisdom an aw,
Wi a sigh an a tear in oor een,
At the end o the year wi sentiment seen
Auld sangs agin lustily sung.

Upon Your Shore

Ma boatie sailed ower the mist covered sea,
I searched an sought for your hidden shore,
Shrouded in mist frae ma searching eye.
You left in a red mist o yer makin,
Stormin aff afore ah could stoap yer flight,
Heid strang defiant an unco deaf tae protestations,
Awa back tae yer hame doon by the wild sea,
Broodin an frettin yer wrath ready tae explode,
Watchin the mist conseal yer shore.
Selkies an sirens kept silent at nicht,
Feart o yer mad writhings an screams,
Even the Coileach hid hersell away ,
In daurk caves inside o hills and bogs.
They were loast in the wids,
Whaur only fae Ghillie could see them oot.
Doon rushing burns kelpies would scream,
Rending the nicht to quiver an moan,
Whaur travellers wid shiver in tavern rooms.
Ah heard the moans an gripes in the mist
As at last ah fund yer shore wi smooth saun,
Whaur ah beeched ma little boatie,
Unner the licht o a bricht shining moon.
Upon yer shore ah staun an cast a look
Ower the saun toward yer hame,
An wunner if ah was tae blame.
Yer loast tae me forever in time,
Ne,er again will ah call ye mine.

Awa Tae France

The battles ower ,smoke settles ower the moor,
Clans are broken flying aff tae the hills.
Redcoated sodjers mingle with red Heilan blude,
Killing the wounded in Drumossie mud.
Oor Prince has fled leaving dreams in the dust,
Of a Stuart oan the throne that was oor lust,
like the heron scared of mans approach
fleeing his home being taen awa tae France.
Some say he was a bonnie lad cam frae italia way,
Heir tae the royale throne pretending tae be king,
Nae clue or fighting skill but the bonnie prince could sing.
Noo he was being led awa tae catch a boat tae tak him awa.
It was spoken of in tones hushed and still,
Ane day he wid return tae claim the throne,
Frae ower the watter oor king wid come,
Alang wi lairds cawed awa tae France.

Premium MemberPlay Now, Play Again

Play* now with enthusiasm’s power
Lay yourself to morning exercise-leading
Aware of physical needs’ pampering action
Yearning for the adventure-peps of blissful youth.

Play still… though you’re in your prime
Learn new games midst grand kids’ laughter
Attempt to shake your body, and stretch again
Yell with exuberance: “Thank God, I still can… yes!”

Play today… visit the amusement park
Listen to giggles’ mirth of children you love
Acknowledge the Lord’s strength, graciously aging
Yield to play’s joy, overcoming demands of youngster years.

*2Samuel 10:12 Be of good courage, and let us play… and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.
