Zip your pocket
When you have taken too much
Zip your purse
When you have spent too much
Zip your mouth
When you have spoken too much
There is always a limit
And so a zip is invented
By the genius
In the name of God
For your own sake
To put a bar to your greed
To control your overspending
To prevent a slip of your tongue
But sometimes there is an exception
Never zip your love and affection
From your family
Never zip your sympathy, kindness and help
From the people in need
Never zip your piety
From the almighty god
Eureka, so many metaphorical meanings
Of the zip in our lives

Overspending the bulk
of my temporal capital
Hourly deficits climb
and pile into notes
Debts I’ll never repay
stored in vaults I can’t find
Words lying uncashed,
as I write overdrawn
Pledging to go back
and re-sign what’s untendered
I’m unforgiven—overdue,
my fate unsecured

apologies first
For feeling, for thinking, for
overspending my overextending
"hospitality"
which probably

for you *having to be here
*In my kitchen in my bed
your choice feels like Im
forcing you to sit close
to look at me
blankly.
But it's in that mode
When I try I guess any
type of stress, any
missed feeling I
find my self kneeling at
your whim (that I imagine for you).
But
it's a blank stare because
you can tell the moment that
I'm not there.
I look for your potential
dissatisfaction
so that I can be perfectly adaptable
Easy to be with
Etc.
I don't want to
tell you how I really feel.
If something bothers me
I let it sink in
Rather than float to the top
For you to

agreeable, careful, prim, pragmatic, wary,
I do most of the work.
