Overpopulate Poems | Examples

We could

There are 8.2 billion people in the world
If we all invested ten dollars each every week
We could create employment
For every unemployed person in the world
parents with fair wages
can feed their families
overcoming both poverty
and starvation
Every country would benefit from
increased tax revenue
Well, the extra wages
decreased cost of benefits
making every government's
budget profits better
meaning they could improve education,
health, and pensions
If we add to that using
the brains of the country
to put forward investment ideas
Then we could direct that investment
to create sustainable greenhouse products
That improves our world,
We could decide to have fewer children
So we don't overpopulate
the world and create a world
That can sustain our existence
allowing other animals
to also have room to live,
Working together,
We can use our imagination
To create everything we want
We are only limited
by what we can imagine

Thinking

Thinking is for those of us
Who have some extra time,
Especially when all those thoughts
Are written out in rhyme.

For when days are super busy
And our brains are hard at work,
It’s impossible to wallow where
Ideas or stressors lurk.

Yet when hours stretch out empty,
It’s too easy to obsess,
So what should lead to relaxing
Often veers right into stress.

Thinking’s highly overrated
For, as many people find,
Thoughts may, like invasive species,
Overpopulate your mind.

Premium MemberAre All These Laws Really Necessary

The advancement of a law that spins
People into a tizzy for reasons maybe unknown even to themselves
Might make sense to professional, arrogant, all-knowing law makers
or lawyers but maybe not so much sense to us regular folks

The evolution of life and humanity is such that we seem to demand
forever after rules, maybe even deeming them necessary as we overpopulate ourselves to a choking degree and kill our planet by not taking care of it with any thought at all.

But are all of these written rules for other folks truthfully
necessary, or just a way for pompous self-appointed
aristocrats to make a name for themselves by making
yet another silly law?

Resonating chirping of crickets
Brings good fortune to good and wicked
Why do they chirp all night
And to whose delight
Does the fool male think he'll charm his mate
So the two can overpopulate
Romeo, Romeo foolish nocturnal
Let me smash you into eternal
Play your harp in Heaven so sweet
Allow me to enjoy my quiet sleep

Premium MemberOne Child Policy

Say what you want about China's Family Planning Policy
regarding one child only to be born into a family.
This is a responsibility that we all should embrace personally
but it will most likely be enacted into law eventually universally
otherwise we're going to overpopulate ourselves right into poverty.
Our entire planet will be destined to be
one big mother of a third world country,
and that's why I got a vasectomy.
