Dissolving clouds of
puffed washed white,
Merged wit opaled dreams
into a way of blue,
A new runner
thrusts up its' head,
Rubbed body brown
in green cap.

I’ve been a pirate on black seas,
Explorer where the oceans freeze,
A monarch on an opaled throne,
An islander with rings of bone—
Inside the “British Colonies” thick section
Of my boyhood stamp collection.
