I Am Water
I am water,
I flow single mindedly in search of the sea,
I am a fast moving torrent of rage,
As I rumble over the shallow rapids,
I am a slow and lazy pool of the darkest, still depths,
I hover above you as a rain drenched cloud,
Holding back no more I spill down,
A warm cascade that sooths as I wash away
Discord and debris,
Your parched skin hungrily drinks me in,
I drench the dry banks and nourish new growth,
A slow and steady soaking inwardly seeping,
I fill your spirit and flow through your veins,
I am the current of hope and an inviting cove of belonging,
I flow gracefully around obstacles meant to block my way,
I batter the shores with my rage,
I am water,
I flow single mindedly in search of the sea,
Onwardly around every bend…..

Autumn creates its own beauty
The level sun light glows on walls, so distinctively
The colours of the trees, nature's magic all at ease
Autumn creates its own dreams
The anticipation of the cold days and nights to come
The growing dark, the cosy nights, the fire crackling under artificial lights
Autumn creates its own sounds
Kicking leaves under feet, the still quiet in the glowing breeze
The flocking birds on the move, echoed sounds of summer blues
Winter waits patiently.
The season of the biggest change of our time moving onwardly
Another year is born.
Another chance to fall in love
Another chance to dream

Skulking between the thinning clumps
Of tattered sedge
A balding coot despondently calls,
Scratching Blackbirds scutter deeply
Into a Hawthorn hedge;
Whilst, creeping stealthily,
Gathering darkness onwardly crawls.
The blackened Moorhen washes the clinging
Soot from his feathered form,
Rising above the mirrored pond in awkward
flight.
Gathering clouds mumble softly of an
Impending storm,
When, silently menacing, inwards marches
The approaching night.
Listening intently, between murmurs upon
A breeze,
I check my step and briefly pause -
To catch a low sigh whispered from among
The sullen trees...
A last desperate plead of their lost cause.
For now billowing cumulonimbus sags
And begs to stall,
As, slowly homeward bound, I gather
About me to hastily make;
Where, circling high in rushing element,
The ragged Buzzard begins to fall...
Upon Heavens gathered Furies -
That so conspire to thunderously break!

High in quality; great value that it claims
But the piece is so delicate, so easy to break
All cower from it, in towering fear
So the piece is left lonely, with not a soul near
They also cower, because of the tolls of time
It's journey embedded flaws; dents and cracks combined
If it ever embraced beauty, it doesn't now to their eyes
For it's man-made scars are feared and despised
It waits, day by day, for a savoir's demise
One bearing the ability to comprehend it's state of mind
Every time one comes close, their caring's astray
It's unimaginable, how it shatters in every which way
Increasingly difficult for it to onwardly thrive
Feeling not many, if any, would mourn it's goodbye
Selfish pleasure, is something easy to obtain
From one so fragile, to afraid to complain
My sight has been altered in many ways
Except my self-views - a porcelain vase
No value remains, and nothing to obtain
Given up, but I still remain, all the same

You can not regain lost time
for it is spent
Past
forever gone
The moment to hesitate is through
No way to turn those hands back
Retreat return – no, never
Seconds tick by
onwardly marching
For time it stops for no one
And yet the future
now is time
for change
for remembering
for recollecting
effecting what may be
doing things for the now
living life with no regrets
move on
for life time is precious
