Hey! Keep Me in the Loop!
Hey! Dawn's gift is a blessing no man yet has owned
But my friend seems 'eternity' since you last phoned!
Please don't rest on your laurels, although they're quite real
In the world, from God's viewpoint, and love that I feel.
Hey! Though we look like heirlooms (our luck or God's Grace?)
And the routes of our sojourns now map lost young face.
'Life' is art carved by time and each sculpture's unique,
Though our children may feel that aged beauty's more cheek!
Hey! A loop is a circle that can't know its end
And as close to perfection as we get my friend.
Though my poem seems cluttered with words that don't fit,
May you still grok you're loved! That's my truth! Take the hit!
Hey! If minds are like islands found oceaned by fear,
And time's waves carve its beaches, old friend, it is clear
That I'll love you as long as 'dots' still tempt a 'line'
To connect them. So, pick up a phone, Valentine!

Green grow the lilacs, the old song still rings true,
Tex Ritter and Johnny Cash sang out the notes in colors blue.
How is it I remember the song still so clear today
as lilacs scent spring air of a sweetheart love with emeralds displayed
both oceaned dark and fern feathered green but hidden and jaded.
Sad songs in life are shaded by the forest green and words of sages
as love burns hot red purple passioned in the sea of enveloped envy
and shamrocks march in the sun's reflection now, almost empty.
Lost to the soul and singer's original intent by indulged imbibed absinthe
fading to shades of florescence curling through lost love's labyrinth.
Green grow the lilacs, sparkling with dew,
I miss you my love, how I miss you.
