Obtrusively Poems

Wish Upon

If one could wish upon a star, yet stars were of no decent at that precise time. One may wonder what a wish is or better yet what a star may behold. Across the way a wish was silently whispered yet heard everywhere. Just then a shooting star announce thy arrival, silently yet obtrusively obvious. Beautifully, lights exploit the nights sky ending with a grotesque of colors . If one could wish upon a star, would one silent whispered wish bring aboust more than, this, that, here upon a wish and its shooting grotesque beautiful star's? My mind races like scattered stars to finding a conclusion behind this theorem of mine.If one would wish upon a star,
What would that day behold? Would it be on a rainy day?
From dawn to noon to sunset? Suddenly the moon makes an appearance so anyone may wish upon a star even if it may be silently whispered. The exploited sky may know the answer if a wish was upon

I Don'T Know Where I'M Going With This One

Tides will lecture us, obtrusively, to our faces,
& it's moments like these we unearth
probity in outlooks and lookouts
to crack the skulls of coconuts. some lives
have small windows, & we, like hounds, look
out & bayed full moons, through panes. & pain,
bringing the high to where the last line
is breathed and we are plumbed. & this
takes fix after fix, to cultivate depravities,
gifts & slumlords, spitting from penitentiaries
the rats & their humans. I saw a few.
This is the kind of stools we sit on
when there is more than blood in our veins
Sometimes guitars sing to us, but the lines ...
are flat, shattered lives. In death,
there's no dreaming, just dumb sleep

Touch Points

Our lives
That flow directionally
That rhythmically dis-enable pause
which absence disaffects our vision
distances our presence
Leaves us obtrusively reactive

Our differences
That comprise our completion
That obscure our Human fabric
whose mantle of sameness
is woven by the spirit of time

Our Pain
whose inert rise
diffuses our nobility into non-movement
and solitary loss

Our spirit
Innate and lost
Accessible
Available
Ignored

Our selves
Soar and roar
Only if with others
Enlivened by simple gestures
Whose measure encompasses the continuum of time

Our prayer
Bleeds despair
Seeks comfort
Acknowledges silence of fear
And the sounds of truth
Beseeched by memories eternal
Fall prey
To the wisdom of false pride
