My mind's in such a quandary
About the U.S.A.
Of our lives and how we live them
What we believe and is our way
Our great Statue of Liberty
That welcomes masses to our shore
Our Constitution, Bill of Rights
All of this and so much more
Was a time when people came
For what we offered here
Opportunity and freedom
What was offered was quite clear
Work hard and learn the language
Pledge the oath and naturalize
Become a U.S. Citizen
And your fortune realize
No matter your religion
Your color or your creed
This country offered welcome
Now is changing, yes indeed
Some people who are coming
Want to govern as they will
Makes us learn their language
I've almost had my fill
If you want to benefit
In this great land of the free
Be a part of where you are
Not where you used to be
You may practice your religion
Speak your language in your home
Speak English and obey the laws
When you work and when you roam
That's really not a lot to ask
For this opportunity
If that's not within your future
Go back to where you used to be
