Where roses bloom
and love is found
there my heart
is lost
Their musky scent
pervades
my open soul
to heights of joy
and pleasure
But thorns
crush
the hands
that are bitter and
filled with envy
anger
and hatred
Let our love
be like roses
without thorns
to prick
May our scent
spread far and wide
touching lives
changing hearts
and blooming
in other souls
encouraging them
to shine bright
like the crimson
of a rose
bleeding true love
being what it is
