Embodying the Light

My bones, my mind, my love doth know
For the sun’s light come after the crow
Of a rooster proudly doing his duty
Rising each morning, to a new beauty

Colors dance and leap across the sky
I wake to the noise I need not reply
Let me sit and ponder
The forest in my mind I wander

Sit in the stillness, the peace of morne
I have no felt this since the day I was born
Let time become slow and the seconds pass by hours
Stop and smell the roses, smell the flowers

Premium MemberLe Morne Agony

Le Morne warm wind enfolds me
Voices from the cliffs and the sea.
As it blows the fatal slave stories
Its wavelets bring their real agonies.
Time like the waves come and go
Their ordeals facing the brilliant glow
Are miseries the vegetation covered
With all persecution they suffered.
In rugged slopes and prickly bushes
Their hearts thumping of ambushes
Slaves escaped cruelty and starvation
But perished in all confrontation.
Rainbows and amber gold sun rays
Still shine the same as in old days.
No more pirates lurked in the sand
No more slaves hide on the mountain.
As wave fragments become whole
Their spirits embrace,soul to soul
And they all join to say softly
"We are the symbols of cruelty".

Believe

A beautiful mind, one of a kind
Kept alone, river of love as dry as a bone
Hidden from society, protected from it's immoral notoriety

With no purposed intent, a conversation with unexpected extent
An act best described as divine, two lonely souls intertwine
Causing apprehension at first, both groomed to expect the worst

An explosion of attraction, fulfilment and soulful satisfaction
Perfectly calculated chemistry, flawless like an act of wizardry
Forged from lonely contemplation, defences destroyed by recent reflection

Most priceless gift of hope, hastened by the hart's grope
Reignites a forgotten fire, once fueled by lustful desire
Now an untainted yearning of late, for the soul's perfect mate

With the splendor of honesty, the most wonderful dream a possibility
With distance the test, love will conquer with no contest
A Fairy tale unfolds, with the best still untold
A lesson on what we can achieve, when we are willing to BELIEVE.

Death In the Family

Everything was up to date

Around the year 1998

Two days after valentines day

You can think what you may

A balloon of love hung in the car

Everyone left with a scar

Five shots fired

The detectives were hired

Three children left orphaned

And only one man to blame

Penny was hit one time in the back

And three in the chest, what a shame

Dwayne shot himself once in the chest

He laid there and suffered with a hole in his vest

He laid there in a pile of blood and bled

But not till he put a towel over her head

Everyone gathered to morne a her viewing

Even Alma Snyder from Kentucky flew in

I cried so hard at her grave site

I wish she could have put up a fight

People gathered from near and far

They came in a truck, van, or car

I forgive him but some people dont

i understand why some people won't

She's safe in God's hands now

I don't know why or how

We miss her more then ever

We'll remember her face forever.
